Came across this park by default..the intended place we were planning to visit was full so ended up here,with a very impatient dog! Lovely to see an amazing open space so well looked after and attracting lots of visitors of all ages. Nice to see the carpets of crocusses . Good little cafe for a cuppa and cake. Great for the dog to be off lead and chasing her ball. Free parking too!

Perfect park after 3 pm bc National trust already shut off, and then we just stopt this park way to the home! Is massive, and in springtime and summertime, this park will be very, very beautiful and popular ( off people)!

First time here, plenty of open space for a dog walk, a couple of bandstand areas and plenty of seating. Also a cafe at the perimeter, also a watch tower. Nice Park.

A chilly unplanned walk around Locke Park. I dropped someone at the hospital for an appointment and was going to find somewhere to park up and read my book, I found myself not far from the park so decided to get a few steps in while I waited.
Lovely spacious park with wide pathways. Pushchair and wheelchair friendly. Great children’s play area with cafe. Bandstand. Large areas of grass with mature trees 🌳 perfect for a picnic (when it’s warmer) or ball games. Dedicated area for ball games with goals and basketball hoops.
Lots of history to look at on the way around and an information board near the cafe. Fairy garden with stunning art work.
Free car park. Plenty of litter bins.
Easy to spend an hour or a whole afternoon.

Nice park for a walk, taking the dog or running. They do a Park run on a Saturday morning at 0900. There is extra parking especially for that event next to the normal one. There is a small cafe near the road entrance near the playground. 👍

My dog loves this place and it's squirrels. Only downside is when it's been raining is the poor drainage around the paths. Not that important but being disabled it can be an issue. Love this place
